Piper Smith Ceramics Demo: Techniques In Hand Building.” Sunday, April 28th in the Kittery Art Association Gallery from 5:00-6:30pm.
Join Piper as she demonstrates her slab based handbuilt pottery process to build and decorate a pitcher with bright colored fruits and flowers. She will go over different ways of making pottery with slabs, molds and templates and her complex surfacing process. This event will be enjoyable for all ages… bring the family!
Piper was born and raised here in Kittery. Graduating from R.W. Traip Academy in 2016, she was awarded the Marcia Abigail Ryder Scholarship which assisted in her attending and later receiving her BFA in Ceramics from Maine College of Art in 2020. She currently sells her work full time, and teaches adult handbuilding classes.
