About The Kittery Art Association
Cover art by Bill Paarlberg.
Founded in 1958, the Kittery Art Association is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of volunteers committed to our mission: To cultivate a passion for the arts, create a lively arts community, and nurture, celebrate, and promote the work of local artists.
The Kittery Art Association envisions a vibrant, inclusive, cultural hub where artists of all backgrounds and mediums come together to innovate, collaborate, and thrive. Through exhibitions, programs, and partnerships we aspire to foster artistic expression, nurture emerging talent, and enrich the lives of the greater seacoast community. With a deep appreciation for the transformative power of the arts at our core, we cultivate a supportive environment where creativity flourishes, connections deepen, and the beauty of expression has no limits.
The KAA Gallery at 2 Walker Street in Kittery, Maine, is our cultural center. The building offers fine acoustics for programs in our Music Series and two galleries for exhibits year-round. Our community consists of approximately 400 members who exhibit and volunteer with us. Their work is multidisciplinary - we accept artists and art appreciators of all levels and mediums.
We invite you to join the Kittery Art Association! 2025 Memberships are available here
