Join Betsy Wish for a three part mixed media sculpture workshop where you will learn to repurpose recycled materials.
This three session workshop will meet from 6:00pm - 8:30pm on November 8th, 15th, and 29th in the HUB, the lower level studio space at the Kittery Art Association. During these three sessions, artists will draft a design and learn how to select recycled materials and build an assemblage. In the second week, artists will learn to cover the armature with plaster gauze. Artists will paint and embellish their sculptures during the third and final session.
Materials are included in the workshop cost. Provided materials include: wire, plaster gauze, duck tape, scissors, yarn, saws, paint and wooden bases for the sculptures. Attendees are welcome to bring additional recycled materials that they would like to use for their sculpture. Ex: plastic yogurt containers, bottles, cardboard tubes, etc.
Workshop Fee: $225 for 3 sessions, to include Materials.
