Do you love the “great outdoors?”  Enjoy fresh air and warm summer breezes?  Then en plein air painting might be just the thing for you…

This year Lisa Alyson has once again planned a scrumptious summer of Plein Air painting for all KAA members.

Weather permitting, we paint every Thursday, 4-7 PM.  Our last scheduled date to paint en plein air this year will be September 20th.

Artists of all mediums are welcome, including photographers, but please keep in mind, there is no instruction…and the only requirement is a KAA membership; please bring your membership cards.

We also have THREE Demo’s this year, which have a fee of $20.00 for non-members and $15.00 for members:

  1. Mary Byrom, oil painter, will be at 633 Haley Road, Kittery Point, ME, on June 28th.
  2. Doris Rice, watercolorist, will be at Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth, NH, on TUESDAY, July 31st.  Come at 4 PM, we will have permission to enter, meet on the left near the greenhouse.
  3. Lisa Regopoulos, professional pastel artist, will be at 12 Seapoint Road, Kittery Point, ME, on August 16th.

You may come and paint at all Demo locations as well.  Bathroom facilities may not exist.  Please be respectful of parking and residence’s privacy.

To cap the season off, there will be an “En Plein Air” All-Member show at the KAA Gallery in October.

If you are not yet a member of KAA and would like to sample an En Plein Air event before joining KAA, please come for one visit.

Additional benefits of becoming a member include the ability to exhibit your art work at the KAA Gallery in our All-Member shows as well as receive a generous discount of 20% off framing from David Pratt, Framer, as well as C.C. Moore Fine Art Framing!

Check out our Membership page for more details.
